Station Support Comes in Every Variety: Rocky Mountain Discount Sports Sponsors David Street Station Raffle

Community support truly comes in all varieties at David Street Station. Between event sponsorships, generous community members, in-kind donations, and volunteer hours, we are thankful for support at every level. During the past few months, many local Casper businesses have been instrumental in the success of events at David Street Station with generous gifts of each kind.

Recently, our friends at Rocky Mountain Discount Sports granted us support in the most stylish way, with the donation of a brand new Traeger Tailgater Grill! This raffle item, with a retail value of nearly $500, was given to us completely free of cost and helped to raise the funding needed for most of the upfront costs associated with our Taco Fest event. Along with the grill, they graciously added two additional chances to win by donating two gifts cards valued at $100 and $50! Although not a traditional donation, this act of kindness went an incredibly long way to ensure a successful day at David Street Station. We are proud to host events that are free for the community to enjoy, however each event certainly comes with a cost. For this reason and numerous others, kindness from our community members is vital to help us continue giving families and friends a place to come together.  

Locally owned and operated, Rocky Mountain Discount Sports has called Casper home since 2001. The store has four other locations spanning across the state serving the communities in Gillette, Sheridan, Riverton, and Cody. As you gear up for a summer of Wyoming fun, keep this local retailer in mind when the need arises for all things camping, hiking, fishing, gold panning, and shooting sports.  Like you may have guessed, Rocky Mountain Discount Sports also carries a full selection of Traeger Grills and accessories, which make the perfect Father’s Day gift or backyard addition. If you can’t find the perfect item, store associates have the ability to order just about anything you might be looking for as RMDS works directly with most manufactures and works with numerous distributors.

“As a small local business, we understand how important it is to be involved with community events.  We love to help when we can and really appreciate the support we receive from our community trying to support us first rather than shopping online,” store General Manager, Brian Woodward explained.

The store has been actively involved in other local clubs like the North Platte Walleyes, Ducks Unlimited, Mule Deer, Elk, and Turkey Banquets. Our staff here at David Street Station feels fortunate to have been chosen as an organization supported by this amazing local store.
