August Events Heat Up the Last of Summer
While summer is winding down at the end of the month, that doesn’t mean the activities at David Street Station are stopping! We have a full month of events to help you take advantage of the last days of summer and live life to the fullest in Downtown Casper.
Take advantage of the Hilltop Bank Splash Pad every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The temperatures will soar this month and so will the water, keeping you and your family cool on those hot days.
Starting out the month’s events on August 1st is the Casper Art Walk. This event brings the art of the community together to show off the creative side of Casper. Live music, interactive art, and exhibits make this an event worth attending.
Fly Fish Casper on August 17th will showcase the best fly fishing for any caliber of fisherman. This event, sponsored by Visit Casper, will leave you ready to set off for your next catch! Then, meet us on August 24th for the returning 5150’ Festival. This festival brings fun for all ages with live music (including headliner Appetite for Deception, a Guns N’ Roses tribute band!), activities, food and more. Stay tuned for all the details.
Our Summer Series Events are in full swing offering entertainment almost every day of the week. Catch Lunch on the Lawn on Monday afternoons sponsored by Casper College. You can expect crafts with Artisan Alley, a scavenger hunt, and performances from Beating Heart Dance Studio and the Casper Children’s Theatre throughout the month.
Tuesday evenings will be filled with more and more local produce at the Food for Thought Summer Markets, sponsored by WCDA. In addition to the homegrown produce, you can find handmade products, live entertainment, activities for all ages, and food trucks.
Continue to get fit with Wellness Wednesdays from the Casper Family YMCA that offer classes each Wednesday. Family Game Night will bring out the fun in any family with games and the opportunity to learn a new sport or activity while staying active.
Cinema at the Station sponsored by Memorial Hospital of Converse County will be showing The Secret Life of Pets and Hotel Transylvania. The Summer Concert Series brought to you by Hilltop Bank will bring in Zachary Schommer, the Canyon Kids, Whiskey’s Alibi, and Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band! You won’t want to miss any of these Friday night events!
