Time-lapse video of David Street Station Tree Lighting (VIDEO)

Oil City residents and people from around the region gathered in David Street station, this weekend, to witness the lighting of the new Community Christmas Tree.

The tree was donated for this purpose, by a Mills family who had the tree removed from their yard. A sapling from the tree was maintained to grow in future.

Volunteers from Rodolph Brothers Tree & Landscaping removed the 50-foot Colorado blue spruce from it’s Mills home of some 60-years early Tuesday morning.

The tree was lit preceding the Downtown Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 25th.
