What to Expect at the 5150′ Festival
In 2017, the Eclipse was the talk of the year. David Street Station took advantage of the monumental event by hosting a festival for Casper-ites and visitors alike to enjoy local vendors, entertainment, and the eclipse all from the lawn at the then-new facility. The Eclipse Fest was wildly successful and a similar event was requested by many of the event goers. Well you asked Casper, and we listened.
On August 25th, the 5150’ Festival will come to Casper. Why 5150’? We think Casper is the best in the West sitting at an elevation of 5150’, so why not name the best summer festival after its host? This year’s festival will feature many local vendors, food trucks, activities for the whole family, and is a re-clipse of sorts, minus the whole eclipse part.
Save the Date
The event kicks off on August 25th at 12 p.m. Performances and entertainment, activity, food and beverage, and local business vendors will be onsite until 10 p.m.
The Fun
An adventure zone and an interactive experience area for all ages will be set up right next to the Hilltop National Bank Splash Pad. You can expect games, crafts, and activities like fly-tieing, cookie making, and lasso and roping lessons from those that know best in the Casper area. There will be more fun announced soon! The Entertainment
Nashville’s Jake Maurer will headline the event, and be playing his mix of traditional and outlaw country music perfect for singing along and dancing. Throughout the day on Saturday, you can find other local artists performing their hearts out, just for you.
The Grub
Enjoy some great food and beer from local food trucks including Smoke N Tender, PV Asian Cusine, Northern Ice. We will announce more as it gets closer to event time!
The Merchandise
This is a great time to support your local Casper businesses as many will have tents set up around David Street Station. There are so many to mention that you will just have to come down to the festival to see them all for yourself!
