Partner in Progress Profiles: From the First Step to Financing the Future, First Interstate Bank Supports David Street Station
Located downtown, First Interstate Bank has seen the growth of their surroundings flourish in recent years. “You can always gauge the health of a community based on their downtown,” explains Kermit Wille, President of First Interstate Bank. When the Downtown Development Authority Board approached First Interstate Bank with the idea of David Street Station in 2015, they saw the importance of being one of the first to invest in the capital campaign. “We wanted to help get the project off to a good start. Looking at the long term benefits, it was the right thing to do for downtown Casper,” states Wille.
The capital campaign for David Street Station started in 2016, with more than one thousand contributors raising over $10,000,000 for the project. “We are proud to have a strong downtown business such as First Interstate Bank advocate for our cause,” explains Kevin Hawley, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Authority, “First Interstate Bank truly stands behind their investments and supports our community.
As an organization, First Interstate Bank has always made contributing to the community a top priority. “We live in this community and we want the community to be the best it can,” explains Wille. That commitment shines through with a list of numerous organizations including David Street Station, who have prospered thanks to First Interstate Bank’s contributions, volunteerism, and support.
